Grey Sauble Conservation is a community-based environmental agency which owns and manages over 11,000 hectares of some of the most scenic and environmentally sensitive lands in Grey and Bruce Counties.Working along side our partners (other agencies, service clubs, municipalities, Provincial and Federal governments and private landowners)
we strive to protect and enhance a healthy watershed environment
through our various programs and services.

"Our vision is a healthy watershed environment
in balance with the needs of society."

"Our mission, in partnership with the stakeholders of the watershed,
is to promote and undertake sustainable management of renewable
natural resources and to provide responsible leadership to enhance
biodiversity and environmental awareness."

Note to paddlers - Rankin River South of Boat Lake

Several years ago an ice storm caused many trees to collapse into the Rankin River making navigation by canoe difficult or impossible. As stated in our 'Paddling Grey-Bruce' 2011 brochure 'the Rankin River beyond [south of] Boat Lake is not passable due to downed trees and steep banks.'

Inglis Falls Arboretum - Weekly Plant Sale. Every Saturday from 9 am to 12 pm Arboretum Volunteers will be selling native trees and shrubs. All proceeds go to benefit Arboretum projects. Helpful advice is always available! To purchase trees or shrubs and support the Arboretum go to 237897 Inglis Falls Road and follow the signs next to the barn near the Administrative Centre and Arboretum main entrance.

Trail Closure - Section of Bruce Trail closed indefinitely
A section of hiking trail between Harrison Park and Inglis Falls has been closed indefinitely, effective December 2, 2009. The closure is due to erosion issues. The affected section extends south from Harrison Park to the new bridge behind the Adminstration Centre, on the east side of the Sydenham River. This trail is also a portion of the main Bruce Trail. The trail will be diverted at Harrison Park to the west side trail. The route will follow the existing trail behind Forest Heights Estates, through the Arboretum, over the new bridge, joining back with the existing trail on the east side of the Sydenham River. Closure signs will be posted and new Bruce Trail white blazes will be painted along the west route. An updated map may be viewed here...
